Jonathan is a graphic designer with over a decade of experience in creating content that propels brands, movements, and ideas forward. Hailing from Queens, New York, Jonathan draws inspiration from his multicultural upbringing, where he was immersed in a vibrant blend of music, food, and art.
While attending the High School of Art & Design, Jonathan landed his first design job at a luxury travel public relations agency. He worked primarily in print design, meticulously organizing and creating annual reports for each of the travel accounts. This early exposure to the industry ignited his passion for design and set him on a path of creative exploration.
With eight years of industry experience under his belt, Jonathan accepted an opportunity to become a graphic designer at MTV. He joined the International Digital Team during the 2018 MTV European Music Awards (EMA) in Bilbao, Spain. Working on dynamic projects, Jonathan discovered a newfound interest in how pop culture seamlessly connected global audiences via social media. This phase enabled him to establish his distinct presence in the industry, expand his portfolio, and deepen his understanding of the craft.
Transitioning into a full-time designer role at ViacomCBS’ internal creative agency, Jonathan delivered high-quality projects for ViacomCBS’ network of brands. Within five months of joining the team, he was pivotal in supporting the department with the official ViacomCBS merger. Jonathan was tasked with organizing a thorough audit of existing brand assets and materials to be reimagined to fit the company’s design system, messaging, and overall brand voice.
Over the years, Jonathan has collaborated with a distinguished brand roster, including CBS, MTV, BET, PlutoTV, Slalom, AWS, Google, and Microsoft. His diverse portfolio reflects his versatility and proficiency across various design disciplines, from brand identity to digital marketing.
Jonathan continues to apply his expertise as a freelance art director and graphic designer, pushing the boundaries of design innovation while delivering impactful solutions for various clients.
